For the first time in the division’s history, Commando Summit showcased teams from across Fort Drum conquering all 46 high peaks in the Adirondack Mountain Range in a single day.
The tour will begin at the 10th Mountain Division and Fort Drum Museum at 10 a.m., returning participants to their vehicles by 3 p.m. at the museum parking lot. On Feb. 13, 1985, the 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) was officially reactivated at Fort Drum. It was the first division of any kind formed by the Army since 1975 and the first based in the Northeast since World War II. During their short history, Soldiers of 10th Mountain Division Sustainment Brigade have excelled at providing, sustaining, and treating division Soldiers with world-class logistics support in supply, maintenance, medical, and transportation operations while being able to step back from the „Trains“ to fight and win alongside the division.
