I’m reading the series again, but the HOTD show made me wonder if Daenerys ever thought or talked about Rhaenyra given their Queen Daenerys I Targaryen, also in the known as Daenerys Stormborn, and colloquially known as Dany, was the twenty-second ruler of the Seven Kingdoms and the eighteenth and final monarch of the Targaryen Dynasty. A realization of that magnitude combined with HEAVY THEORY I think is enough to cause Stannis to abandon his own campaign and support Targaryen rule. Doing what is right/just despite his own interests is sort of Stannis‘ MO. (Spoiler All) What religion is Daenerys? I’ve just got to thinking about this question, and the immediate obvious answer would be that she worships the Seven, coming from a family background that is that religion, and spending her childhood with Willem Darry, presumably also a worshipper of the Faith.

So one thing that’s bothered me a lot in the S5E6 fallout is the in Daenerys claim that „three main characters who were not raped in the books have been raped in the show.“ The three characters in question are Daenerys (S1E1), Cersei (S4E3), and Sansa (S5E6). The precedent set by the Great Council means that all male-line descendants must be exhausted before one considers the female-line descendants.
