To be honest i was really confused –> BM5A was sounding much louder than BM6A @ the same settings, also BM5A was sounding much sweeter than BM6Awichest makes me think that BM6A is more Flat than BM5A. Oh yeah I did. I compared the Alpha 65, 80, Dynaudio BM5a MKII, BM6, Yamaha HS8, ADAM A7X, KRK, JBL, Mackie, and a bunch of others. I can’t remember them all. The Alpha 65 was pretty good. Sounds the same as the 80 except the 80 has more low end. Other than that they are identical.

I LOVE how the BM5A’s sound and I think I will purchase these but in spring 2010 the new MKII series came out and they have more power and can go deeper. The price difference is only $50 but I heard only negative things about the MKII series by Dynaudio.

I wanted the Adam A7, but I’ve noticed people saying that they are not good enough with the low’s (very important for my genere). I thought maybe the A7X would be a better solution, a great monitor as the A7, with a bigger woofer who might give me a I never got into dyn at all. Haven’t tried the BM6A but have tried the 5’s and 15’s. Didn’t like either a whole lot, especially the BM15a. Can’t stand ‚em. When trying the BM5A’s I was also trying the Adam A7 which I must say I like a whole lot more.

Opinions on ADAM A7 vs Dynaudio BM6A mkII? I’m really itching to get some high quality studio monitors and these two are the most interesting to me. BM6A mk1 are meant to be good. I had bm5a and found there was a lot of port noise (on techno noise on bassfrum was really audible) so I swapped for PMC tb2a Id say th ebm6a would be a better choice.
