I’ve finally been able to do a comparison test of the Delta Zulu with the Bose A20 on a flight yesterday. I’ve been searching for the perfect headset for a long time now. At first it was the Lightspeed Zulu 2 and 3. They were comfortable and worked well. From what I gather, the Lightspeed Zulu 3 and the Bose A20 are the two top of the line options. I would rank the DC One-X as a 3rd option. I have one each of the A20, Z3 and One-X. I’d say it comes down to personal preference.

Need to clarify Bose A20 vs A30- I’ve heard significant complaints about the „updated“ Bose vs the old A20s (which I own and love). My wife has Zulu 3 and I have A20. I choose the Zulu over the A20 because I found them more comfortable with my head. Glasses were not a factor. I have a Bose Aviation X as my passenger headset (similar to the A20), and I find it’s not quite as good at noise cancellation as the Zulu for me.

The ANR was subpar. I got the Bose and never looked back. Comfortable (they’re also over-ear just like the Zulus), effective both in ANR and with actual communication, and I’ve found the service and support to be great.

I have an original Zulu which fit me better than the Bose X but I know that the A20 fits me far better than any of the others (Zulu 2 fit worse than the Zulu 1, not quite as badly as the X).
