Di: Stella

I’m new to DisplayCal, but note that for Apple M1 and Big Sur it does not recognize external monitors. So can I connect the external monitor to my existing Intel iMac, calibrate it, and then attach the monitor to the M1 Mac, and somehow take the calibration-definition from the older iMac, and use it on the new M1 Mac? I had previously used my SpyderX with Spyders software and since followed instructions on uninstalling everything and switching to displaycal. I have successfully installed Argyll drivers and the device is listed under: Argyll libUSB-win32 device – SpyderX(Argyll) However when clicking on detect display devices and instruments nothing appears in the drop

Hi! i used a spyder4 for some years, first with its shit software, then with displaycal. I use a Fujitsu P27-7. In displaycal the manual adjustments told me to make it horrible green, and the result was Continue reading Spyder4 vs i1Display vs Displaycal → If you are driving the tv with a media PC, you can use displaycal to put a calibration lut in the PC. How to adjust gamma alone?

Thanks for the quick response. I don’t see Gigabyte RBG Fusion in my installed programs. I have an Alienware Aurora, and it does have LED lights on the case, apparently controlled by Alienware Command Center, is that what you’re talking about? I had DisplayCal installed on my previous PC, and the results looked good. I currently use Windows Display Calibration and adjust the gamma slider to compensate for my monitor’s low gamma. Windows creates a new profile (based on the default sRGB profile) that applies my gamma settings. The problem is the GPU gamma ramp keeps getting reset by fullscreen games etc. Instead, I want to use DisplayCAL Profile Continue Hey all, So I’ve been trying to get to calibrating my laptop and computer using a Spyder X Elite. DisplayCAL does not recognize my Colormunki Smile. The “instrument” box in the program’s menu is in blanc, even after refreshing it. Whether I use usb2 or usb3 my spyder 5 does noe get detected when clicking the refresh button. Spyder 2 2.3.5 runs just fine, but does not work with a second LED display. DisplayCAL runs but does not seem to see the Spyder. I have Enabled Spyder 2. I even loaded ArgyII drivers. Suggestions?

I must be doing something wrong. No matter what I try, I can not get DisplayCal to show that my SpyderX instrument is connected. In any case, the problem now seems to be intermittent with the Spyder4 connected directly to the MacBook Pro. I have captured and installed profiles for both of my screens.
