The speed has become very unstable on my Technics SL1400 mk1. It’s so bad it’s unlistenable. Is it likely to be an expensive repair and is it worth doing? Or should I just get a new turntable? So, I purchased one of these new Technics SL-1200G models to „upgrade“ my current Technics SL-1210M5G setup. After I set it up, I noticed the strobe was showing a slight wavering of the dots. Worse, I thought I heard it too when I played my favorite Diana Krall record. If I give it a spin myself it will maintain a speed on 45 but will just slow to a stop on 33. Hier sollte eine Beschreibung angezeigt werden, diese Seite lässt dies jedoch nicht zu. The mix of two incompatible metals causes oxidation t seem to figure over time and buttons get stuck. Dismantling takes some force sometimes! cleaning with alcool and putting some grease will fix it. Technics lover and repair man.
