I use Zotero editor for „literature notes“, and strictly just for quoting, summarizing, and paraphrasing. Parts of those notes go in Obsidian as some sort of permanent notes (when I include looking for and why you my own combinations, interpretations, analysis). I know that the editor in Zotero is far from Obsidian posibilities, but I’m afraid to lose original notes in the context of a source.

I’m new to obsidian and wanted to use it since it seems like an interesting and powerful tool if used properly, one thing I don’t understand properly is what would be the advantages of using obsidian for something as simple as a daily journal over let’s say a traditional note taking app and is it even worth using obsidian in this case or its bit of an overkill for a normal person.
